The SOLIDBOX facade blind has been designed by ANWIS based on many years of experience of specialists from the shielding industry. It offers an easy measurement process and a number of system solutions that significantly reduce the time needed to complete the installation. The minimalist form of the product makes the SOLIDBOX concealed blind a cover suitable for installation in modern homes and commercial buildings.
SOLIDBOX – reliable and practical construction
The SOLIDBOX facade blind cassette is built under the outer layer of insulation, e.g. polystyrene. It can have a dedicated insulation layer (extruded polystyrene 15, 20 or 35 mm thick), which prevents the formation of thermal bridges where the back cover contacts the wall. It also avoids work associated with the processing of the lintel. The front part of the cassette has a specially profiled plaster carrier, which allows the cassette to be hidden under insulation. The front cover is removable, which provides convenient access to the components during assembly.
The main support element of the shutter is an aluminium profile, made by extrusion. It allows mounting the cassette (to the front or top of the lintel) with dowels. In the upper part of the support profile there are also dedicated mounting places that allow the cassette to be installed with anchors. Mounting anchors guarantee a stable connection between the cassette and the lintel, while maintaining ease of assembly.
The SOLIDBOX system has three cassette heights: 220, 270 and 320 mm. Their size depends on the size of the package used. Mounted in the cassette, the gutter brackets and brushes displacing the front cover (facilitate finishing works within the cassette) are mounted using hammer nuts. The nuts have a dedicated chamber in the support profile. This allows you to easily change their location, and thus the installation of handles without conflict with mechanisms located in the upper gutter, such as bearings or electric drive. The upper gutter handles are automatic, which ensures easy and efficient installation of the package in the cassette.
In order to better match the product to the insulation system, ANWIS offers: two guide sizes (27.5 x 95 mm, 27.5 x 110 mm) and a 20 mm modular distance of the guide. This solution provides flexibility at the design stage and product selection for the building structure. An insert (made of flexible plastic) is installed in the side guides of the SOLIDBOX blinds, which can be easily installed and removed. Its construction ensures smooth running of the package. Aluminium slats provide additional stabilization of the slats, which increase the blind's resistance to strong wind pressure. In addition, the SOLIDBOX blind motor has a pre-set end position of the blind. This allows you to quickly check the correct operation of the product after completing assembly work.
Modern automation
The ANWIS concealed blind can be operated remotely, using radio transmitters or by cable, using wall switches. Manual mode allows the user to change the position of the blind himself. It is also possible to program ready scenarios, thanks to which the covers will rise and lower automatically, e.g. at set times. In addition, the SOLIDBOX blind can be connected to weather automation and an intelligent building system. In the last case, the control panel, in addition to operating concealed blinds, allows you to manage other systems, such as heating and lighting.
Available systems: C80 and Z90
SOLIDBOX concealed blinds are available in two systems: C80 and Z90. In both cases, the lamellas are profiled on both sides, which ensures their increased rigidity and stability during adverse weather conditions. The Z90 aluminium profile (90° rotation of the lamellas) is distinguished by a silencing gasket and the "Z" shape guaranteeing better darkening of the rooms. In turn, the characteristic feature of the "C" profile is the possibility of opening and closing the blinds in the range of 180°. This ensures smooth control of the tilt angle of the slats, and thus the free regulation of the intensity of light penetrating the interior. The maximum dimensions of SOLIDBOX blinds are: 3500 mm high and 4000 mm wide.
Trendy colours
SOLIDBOX concealed blinds are offered in a rich collection of profile colours and cassettes as standard. In order to consistently finish the blinds with the facade, the ANWIS company allows painting the internal surface of the elements included in the cassette: the front cover and the rear cover.
The lamellas (like other elements of the cover, such as: guides, bottom gutter or ladder) are resistant to weather conditions. Thanks to this, the blinds are characterized by durable and reliable operation for a long time. The collection includes colours adapted to current architectural trends, among others: basalt grey, structural anthracite, black, as well as wood-like patterns. This allows you to easily adjust the colour of the blinds to any type of joinery or facade. You can also order facade blinds in an unusual colour according to the RAL palette.
ANWIS offers full technical support, including: assembly instructions, technical catalogue and professional training. In addition, the SOLIDBOX product is covered by a 36-month manufacturer's warranty. The SOLIDBOX facade blind will be available from June 2020.
