The six European window associations ARGE, European Aluminium, EPPA, ES-SO, EuroWindoor AISBL and Glass for Europe publish a joint position paper on the proposal to recast the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD).
In their joint paper, the associations emphasize that the proposal for a recast of the EPBD is a unique opportunity to optimize the energy performance of buildings. The window sector considers that the following key objectives should be pursued:
» Supporting window replacement to accelerate the Renovation Wave in line with the Energy Efficiency First principle.
» Using the “Energy Balance” approach to assess the energy performance of windows.
» Defining and securing Healthy Indoor Climate.
