A new factory-installed window opening control device (WOCD) that meets ASTM F2090-13 requirements is available for Ultra and Heritage Series Sterling Double Hung, XL Sterling Double Hung and Traditional Double Hung windows. It limits the opening to less than 4 inches, but is designed with a limit release mechanism to allow for emergency escape. When requested, it will be factory-installed, however it is available in a kit for installation on the job site as well.
