Testing the POLFLAM® glass of even larger dimensions!

The large-format fire-resistant glass has become POLFLAM’s hallmark. Further solutions with POLFLAM® large-size glass are regularly subjected to testing in European certified testing institutions. In October, the symmetric POLFLAM® glass of the EI 30 class, the dimensions 5900 x 3100 mm and the weight 1450 kg was tested in the renowned ift institute in Rosenheim. The testing was open for visitors. Among those to watch the testing process were the participants of the Rosenheimer Fenstertage, a well-known in Europe technical conference dedicated to windows and facades.Large-dimension glass panes are a dominating trend in modern architecture, in particular for modern buildings’ facades. The POLFLAM product development department is consistent in preparing still new large-format solutions.Only a few research institutions have a fire testing furnace of the size large enough to test as large glass panes as POLFLAM specialises in.
