Good results for 2016 and a positive start for this year gives us great motivation to grab every opportunity and meet the challenges that 2017 may bring, says Eivind Aas the CEO at Spilka. Eivind is both enthusiastic and determined when he talks about the company’s goals and opportunities. Despite a couple of challenging years for the industry, Spilka has had a positive development and even growth. We are confident that this growth is a result of the improvements made within our organization, however we believe that our close relationship to our customers and their involvement has been equally important. Spilka shall always be aware of the needs in the industry and act on these through offering our customers relevant products and solutions.A great example of this is the newly launched investment that Spilka has made to offer aluminium profiles. Spilka is on schedule with their new hall of nearly 2,400m2 that is dedicated to the aluminium production line. This means that Spilka will be able to offer aluminium profiles in any shape and any colour, whether it’s cladding, glazing beads or bars for windows and doors. We have already seen a positive increase in demand for so called maintenance free products, especially outside Norway, says Eivind. He explains that when Spilka first considered the investment of aluminium they looked at the Swedish market where it was found that the production of aluminium-clad windows was far higher than in the Norwegian market. After a detailed analysis of partners and value chains both domestic and internationally the conclusion proved the potential to be vast.Even the feedback from our customers was clear; the production of aluminium cladded windows would see a strong increase within Norway. We also met with several customers who were positive to such a corporation with Spilka, which of course made our decision process easier, says Aas.He continues by explaining that Spilka conducted a customer satisfaction survey in 2016. We completed this survey also back in 2014, and both surveys resulted in great and useful feedback. One of the outcomes showed that our customers want to be able to buy more products and solutions from Spilka, which of course was a joy to hear. There are of course projects in the pipeline, but this does not stop us from looking further for new exciting opportunities. We therefore want to encourage our customers to contact us to initiate new opportunities or with feedback on existing solutions, Eivind states.
