The BUDMA/WINDOOR-TECH 2017 fairs have finished. They have been what we consider a great success. The fairs drew a lot of interest and the exhibition halls were buzzing with activity and excitement. The combination of BUDMA and WINDOOR-TECH fairs have once again proved to raise the status of the event. The exhibitors filled the hall 5/5A and a significant part of the hall 3/3A. Apart from windows and doors manufacturers and hardware and software specialists, the huge credit goes to top machines suppliers which presented their impressively constructed machinery. The latter included FIMTEC, URBAN, ELUMATEC, R&D TECH, WEGOMA, ROTOX, ULTIMA, CDM, TAKAPOL, SCM GROUP, SCHMALZ, HOMAG, YILMAZ/MURAT, LiSEC and G-U. Many finished product suppliers introduced their flagship products too. FAKRO, DRUTEX, EKO-OKNA, POZBUD, POL-SKONE, EUROCOLOR, Hörmann, GERDA, PORTA KMI or WIŚNIOWSKI, to name a few, were all present at the fairs. Anyone who was interested in the subject of windows, doors, gates, coverings or machines could find vital and important product information. People involved in installation could not complain either. They could find a lot of useful information for themselves at the ISO-CHEMIE, Stropex or GPMM booths as well as at many accompanying events and numerous demonstrations. The accompanying events primarily included 'Windows Factory Live'. The idea was to promote the latest technologies available in the market in the form of a full-scale machine park. In 2017, the 'Windows Factory Live' manufactured aluminium windows and doors for the very first time. At MONTERIADA, on the other hand, the visitors were able to watch interactive demonstrations of flexible installations of windows and doors. The 29 products were awarded the prestigious Gold Medal of Poznan International Fair, confirming its innovation and technological advancement. Over a hundred lectures at dozens of conferences, seminars and presentations were delivered during the fairs, including lectures devoted to energy-efficient buildings, passive constructions and implementation of large-scale infrastructure investments. Oknonet and WinDoorExpert have also prepared their own accompanying event - 'wygrywaj z oknonet' contest.  The rules were quite simple. The editorial team were making photos with company representatives and then the photos were uploaded on the official facebook page. The first two pictures with the most 'likes' have won the grand prize – an advertising campaign worthed 20 000 zloty. Thank you for taking part in the competition. The fairs were very successful for many companies, including CKM Extrusion, a prosperous PVC profile extrusion plant. The following is the opinion of Bartosz Galezowski, Sales Coordinator at CKM Extrusion:The participation at the fairs turned out to be a huge success. Thanks to many meetings with the visitors, we have managed to establish many new contacts, some of them already result in starting a cooperation and first orders. Most of the visitors who visited our stand were interested in the Polish company producing high quality PVC profiles for windows and doors production, so the range of customers we now reach is much broader. During those few days in Poznan we managed to start talks with clients not only from Poland, but also from the Czech Republic, Ukraine, Moldova and France. The fairs were also a great opportunity to meet our current customers and to talk in a friendly atmosphere about the future plans for the development of the offer.Wepresented two systems which we have recently introduced to our offer - the innovative lift-and-slide HS door system and the classic window system of 88mm. The HS door, which was the central point of our stand, was of particular interest. Innovative solutions in terms of profiles and hardware made our guests often surprised by how simple sliding doors could be in their design. Because it was the first time we were present at the fairs, we had the opportunity to meet and discuss our range of solutions tailored to different markets. We showed our monoblock frames, renovation frames, the Swiss frame, window sashes of different heights, and a full set of additional profiles in the form of angle profiles, flat profiles, connectors and other additional profiles.BUDMA/WINDOOR-TECH 2017 statistics:» Over 800 exhibitors from 26 countries» Exhibition area of 55000 m²» 45000 fair visitors (among them several thousand foreign guests from over 40 countries from around the world)The statistics and opinions of the fair exhibitors and vistors only prove the success of the fairs. Four intensive exhibition days have brought a lot of inspiration, knowledge and opportunity to meet business partners. The next BUDMA/WINDOOR-TECH edition is planned to take place in 2019.
