Recent reports suggest there is a glass shortage in the UK that is threatening to affect the supply of glass IGUs to the industry.
Epwin Glass currently holds 145 glass types and has over 550 tonnes of glass in stock. The range covers decorative, noise insulation, safety and security, self-cleaning, solar control and thermal insulation glass. All products are manufactured in the UK in Northampton and comply with relevant legislation and WERs.
But Katrina Earl, Epwin Glass National Sales Manager, has good news for Epwin Glass customers:
We have got healthy stocks on all types of glass and are not experiencing the problems that seem to be affecting other suppliers. For us, it’s very much business as usual.
It’s a reassuring statement for a company that is renowned for the breadth and quality of its product range and the strength of its service.
The company’s service is committed to continuous improvement and recent investment has taken turnaround times, efficiency and productivity to a whole new level. It is the only glass business in the country that has a spare piece of machinery for every part of the process. This allows the company to maintain a high level of customer service and reliability even when the inevitable breakdowns occur.
