Aluro was founded in Heist-op-den-Berg, Belgium in 1969, originally starting out as a family business. Almost 50 years later, it has grown into a benchmark in the world of machinery for the manufacturing of thermal break window profiles.
Aluro started out as a company specialised in metal construction, but later on refocussed on thermal break assembly technology.
The Aluroller was first launched in 1985 and has been improved and redesigned over the years, in consultation with customers worldwide. In 2015, Aluro launched the Aluroller EVO, the latest and further improved generation of this 3-in-1 thermal break assembly machine.
With this technology, Aluro became one of the pioneers in the design of machines for assembling aluminium profiles with thermal insulation.
The first international steps were taken in the 1990s and in the meantime, Aluro has grown into an international company, delivering machines and services to clients all over the world.

The Aluroller is a machine that was not only invented by Aluro, they also build the machines from the ground up in their own workspace. This way, everyone involved in the creation of this technology gets to participate in the complete design and production process of every single machine.
This continuous flow of R&D within the company on every level, but also in consultation with customers, made the Aluroller the benchmark machine in thermal break assembly machinery.

Aluro delivers the Aluroller to clients worldwide. The first Aluroller ever installed was at Reynaers in 1988. After that, Aluro provided other major aluminium companies all over the world with this unique technology. Companies such as Metal Technology, Itesal, Sapa, Alumil, Anicolor, Kawneer and many other.
Future development
After some difficult years since the financial crisis in 2008, the past few years have been prommissing again. They had a turnover growth of 88% in 2016 and again in 2017 they had a growth of 7%.
The year 2017 was a turning point year. The Aluro team worked very hard to expand our market even further to create new sales pipelines. Our view on 2018 and the years to come is very optimistic. Especially concidering the regulations regarding insulation that are being implemented in different markets and the increasing awareness of governments that a focus on good insulation is a win-win situation for everyone.
Worldwide market
In 2016 we started approaching the market in a different way. Since then, we worked out a network of agents in important markets such as Spain, North-America, Asia etc... This gives us the advantage of having native representatives of Aluro in markets where we don’t speak the language or know the culture.
Further more, they have increased our marketing budgets to improve the top of mind position of the Aluro brand in the world of thermal break assembly. Both actions improve the Aluro brand awareness and generate more turnover.
As they have done since the founding of Aluro, a big part of our resources still goes to R&D. First of all to continuously improve their existing machines and to create new products for their market, with a clear focus on further automatization of their clients production facilities.
