Buildings often face challenges when they try to bring together safety, convenience and sustainability to their access systems. The Danish housing complex A Place To has found the perfect solution in ASSA ABLOY's self-powered locks.

A Place To office building in Denmark

A Place To is a one-of-a-kind housing idea designed to fulfill the changing needs of young businesspeople seeking sophisticated, maintenance-free and environmentally conscious housing solutions. With extensive common areas such as a café, lounge, activity area, parking spaces and resident access to shared e-cars, A Place To provides what its clientele look for: efficient and sustainable living options that can foster communities.

With this in mind, A Place To wanted to implement access solutions that were safe, sustainable and convenient for community living. They went with ASSA ABLOY Pulse key-operated electronic cylinders with energy-harvesting technology and Incedo cloud-based software. The integrated system allows A Place To’s security administrators to manage access control with cloud-based software. They can change anyone’s access permissions online. Users update their own keys at integrated door-phones or online readers. This ensures resident access permissions are always up to date.

ASSA ABLOY Pulse devices are self-powered and need no external energy source. Furthermore, each key comes with an RFID chip, which works as an access card for the entrance and communal areas, so tenants only need to carry one credential for multiple openings around the property, making it ideal for convenience-seeking young residents.
